At Lewis Fence Co., we recently completed a cedar fence installation in South Lake Tahoe. The project involved setting up a new cedar 3-rail fence using 2 3/8″ Schedule 20 galvanized posts, each driven approximately 4 feet into the ground. This approach ensures long-term stability and durability, designed to handle shifting soil and changing weather conditions. We securely attached pressure-treated rails to the posts, and fastened all pickets using ring shank nails for superior holding strength.
